About the Position: Serves as a Security Guard at the Detroit Arsenal. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Competitive Service Positions. POSITION IS ANNOUNCED AS A STANDING REGISTER (OPEN CONTINUOUS RECRUITMENT): First cutoff date to evaluate candidates will be June 25, 2026. Application packages received after this date will be evaluated bi-weekly or upon request of management. Application packages must be complete at the time referral certificates are issued. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: (1) work with a Federal, State, municipal, local, or private protective organization that involved controlling access to restricted areas, patrolling, maintaining order, and protecting life or property; and (2) verifying identities using electronic systems, identification cards, badges, biometric records, or verbal questioning. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
