About the role

The Cargo Mission Manager (CMM) with the Mission Integration and Operations Office ensures end-to-end integration, verification, and safe delivery of cargo required to sustain ISS operations, crew health, technology, and research objectives. You will directly support mission-essential services by coordinating cargo readiness, resolving technical issues, and enabling real-time decision-making across spacecraft providers, engineering teams, and operations personnel. The specific qualifications and minimum education requirements are further described below and within the education section of the job announcement. To qualify for GS-14, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level: Managing cargo delivery and return operations, mission integration activities, and research execution efforts to ensure safe and successful ISS mission operations; Coordinating with ISS, commercial cargo, and commercial crew associated responsibilities, operations plans, procedures, policies, and facilities related to cargo delivery and return; and Leading technical teams and administrative support in the planning, preparation, and execution of significant space missions relating to cargo delivery and return.
