We are currently looking for a Assistant Project Manager who will be responsible for delivering Small Works and Life Cycle projects from conception to completion, including income generating initiatives, within the Total Facilities Management (TFM) contract in Kent. The role involves working collaboratively with stakeholders as part of an Integrated Project Team, ensuring full compliance with both Skanska and client systems of work. As the Assistant Project Manager, you will: Manage Small Works and Life Cycle projects in line with company processes and procedures, including design, estimating, procurement of services, resource planning, and the coordination of direct or contracted labour. Collaborate with the Operations team to ensure all quotations are prepared and returned within agreed Performance Management System (PMS) timescales. Pre-plan works in consultation with relevant stakeholders, liaising with Operations Managers, Estates Managers, clients, trade contractors, and other third parties to agree start dates, ensure site access, and minimise operational disruption. Oversee in-progress inspections, ensure compliance with CDM Regulations, uphold exemplary health and safety standards, and guarantee defect-free project handovers. Manage remedial works where necessary, authorise subcontractor payment applications, and sign off completed projects. Provide support for out-of-hours and weekend works where project requirements demand, subject to agreement with the line manager. We are looking for: Essential: Health & Safety qualification (minimum 4-day IOSH or equivalent Construction Certificate). Preferred: SMSTS qualification or similar Ability to obtain enhanced DBS clearance and have a Driving License Strong communication skills, with confidence in engaging stakeholders at all levels Working towards a minimum HNC in Building or Mechanical disciplines and a relevant professional qualification Demonstrable knowledge of British Standards and current building regulations Commitment to Health & Safety excellence and support of IFE initiatives
