Quantity Surveyor

Responsibilities

• Prepare and revise drawings promptly for tender submissions and job orders to meet project timelines
• Collaborate with team members to propose design solutions and select materials aligned with budget and client requirements by obtaining accurate material dimensions and specifications from sites and vendors
• Coordinate instructions and design specifications effectively with sales, production teams, and clients to ensure alignment on job orders
• Prepare bills of quantity for job orders with cost-effectiveness to support budgeting and procurement
• Liaise with consultants and vendors to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, industry practices, and updates
• Survey site conditions to assess installation, delivery, and set-up requirements, including cost and method considerations
• Conduct quality control inspections to verify finished products meet job order specifications and drawings
• Maintain organized and secure filing systems for all project files and drawings to ensure easy retrieval and record-keeping
• Provide operational support to production, procurement, and logistics teams to facilitate smooth workflow
• Required competencies and certifications
• Minimum 5 years' experience in construction, building, project management, or manufacturing
• Competency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and 2D & 3D drawing software to produce accurate technical drawings
• Proficient in MS Office applications for documentation and communication
• Minimum Diploma/NTC 3 (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying, Building Services, or related field
• Knowledge of laws and ordinances regulating building construction to ensure compliance
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications accurately
• Skills in precise measurement, tender preparation, calculation, pricing, and quotation to support project costing
• Understanding of relevant standard forms of building contracts
• Strong writing, communication, and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders
• Organized, self-driven, and a team player with good interpersonal skills
