About the role

You will serve as a MATERIAL HANDLER WORK LEAD in the TIRIS Branch Code R5311, Material Division/Warehouse Operations Code R530 of TRIREFFAC KINGS BAY. Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. The Screen-out Element for this position is: Resume must show the: Ability to manage the quality and quantity of work involved in receiving and processing specialized materials, including Level 1 (L1), Scope of Certification (SOC), Fly-By-Wire (FBW), Depot Level Repairable (DLR), and TRIDENT Planned Equipment Replacement (TRIPER) items. Ability to safely handle and process hazardous, flammable, and radioactive materials, as well as general support material, submarine shafts, propellers, and 2SX1 Nuclear Reactor components. Ability to coordinate staged material for submarine refits, Material Turned into Stores (MTIS), and the redistribution of material for DLA Disposition Services for the Trident Refit Facility (TRF) and all tenant activities at SUBASE Kings Bay, Georgia. Ability to assist supervisors in training Material Handlers by explaining technical work requirements, methods, and procedures. Ability to define performance standards for quality and quantity while providing instruction on difficult or complex work operations. Ability to review work in progress or upon completion to ensure compliance with established standards. Ability to adjust work plans, assignments, and methods as necessary to control costs and maximize operational effectiveness. Ability to maintain control of warehouse functions while remaining fully accountable to the Special Materials Operations Supervisor for the efficient and economical performance of the unit. Ability to determine the most effective organization and arrangement of material within storage and staging areas. Ability to perform quality control duties and coordinate related tasks to ensure the high quality of all products and services.
