Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate System CAS activities and communications for advanced drone systems in Aerospace.

  • Establish and develop strategic relationships with key engineering contacts up to management level at our customers.
  • Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or similar required, Masters preferred.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong understanding of relevant Aerospace & advanced drone systems, applications and semiconductor components.
  • Ideally a mix of H/W & S/W skills in your given area of expertise.
  • Strong customer engagement skills, with direct experience supporting Aerospace & specifically drone customers preferred.
  • Ability to work at the system-level, identifying optimal partitioning of solutions between HW and software.
  • Comfortable working with the ambiguity inherent in implementing new technologies.
  • Good written and verbal communication/presentation skills spanning technical contributors, business stakeholders, customers, and management. Information sharing, working as a team player and striving for clarity comes naturally to you.

Additional Information

As part of the evolution of our System CAS deployment, we have a need for someone to lead the System CAS activities in aerospace with a focus on dual-usage drones. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in drone system architecture, avionics, connectivity, autonomy, and mission system integration for dual-usage drones, along with a semiconductor architecture or R&D background and hands-on experience designing with components. In this senior role, working closely with the Key Account Managers, you will be the primary technical interface to system architects and system developers at our customers in Aerospace for advanced drone systems. Providing your technical insights along with coordinating those of Business Line experts/architects around NXP's system solutions & products. Understanding their technical needs and challenges, as well as interpreting evolving industry trends will allow you to work closely with our Business Lines and Engineering teams to influence NXP products and solutions.
