Maintenance Machinist Technician II- 3rd shift 5x8

About the role

Primary focus is on supporting Andersen production operations. This position will be responsible for preparing & machining parts from various materials with CNC controlled mills and lathes. This will be a straight 3rd shift position with some flexibility in start stop times. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Fabricate machine parts and weldments leveraging Mastercam Software Cut and prep. Various materials for Machining Machine parts on manual mills and lathes as required Prioritize work to meet customer deadlines Participate in design reviews with Machine Designers and peers in the shop Strong focus on customer service Understand safety rules and procedures to safely perform all tasks Know and practice respectful workplace behavior Support a culture of best practice on 5S and overall shop safety QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS: MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS: 2 - year technical degree in CNC Machining. 3D CAD modeling software understanding Proficient at print reading and tolerance interpretation. Mastercam software experience Strong understanding of metrology and how it applies to machining. Excellent communication and customer service skills Strong computer skills in required applications, Outlook, Word, Microsoft Teams Etc NICE-TO-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS: Machine design experience Machine build experience Machine design experience PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS SUMMARY: Must be able to stand for 8 hours Must be able to occasionally lift 50 lbs. Some heavy lifting required at low frequency. Equipment is provided to move/manipulate heavy components Requires repetitive action such as simple starting, grasping, firm grasping and fine manipulating.
