About the Role In this opportunity as Legal Journal Abstract Writer, you will: Select, abstract, and index material for Westlaw UKI according to defined criteria. Create index entries for legal articles across a range of subject areas including accurate citation of cases, legislation and bibliographic details; correct application of house style; and consistent, accurate use of the UKI Taxonomy Adhere to editorial publishing schedules and quality standards as required for accuracy and completeness Conduct post-publication checks on database records and online services Achieve the required level of self-management of priorities and workload Maintain knowledge of legal and regulatory developments, including familiarity with diverse areas of law and skills training as needed to complete your work. Demonstrate competence on company-specific systems, including customized editorial systems, necessary to perform your job functions About You You're a fit for the role of Legal Journal Abstract Writer if your background includes: Have a JD or LLB degree, preferably in UK law Have excellent English communication and writing skills, able to clearly and concisely interpret key issues across legal, regulatory, financial and academic journals Demonstrated technical proficiency and adaptability in utilizing emerging tools, including generative AI technologies, to enhance productivity, efficiency, and accuracy on projects and tasks.
