Who we're looking for Toyota's Risk Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Commercial Credit Risk Oversight Analyst . The primary responsibility of this role is to support the Commercial Credit Risk Oversight function by strengthening policies and procedures related to underwriting, documentation, portfolio management, and regulatory compliance across Commercial Services, with a focus on alignment between Toyota Financial Services (TFS) and Toyota Financial Savings Bank (TFSB). Reporting to the Commercial Credit Risk Oversight Manager, the person in this role will support the objective to standardize and modernize processes, monitor portfolio-level risk, and ensure compliance across the commercial portfolio through cross-functional partnership with Underwriting, Sales, Credit Review, Audit, Operations, Legal, and Compliance.
Responsibilities
- Support advanced portfolio monitoring efforts by analyzing key risk indicators in the commercial portfolio, identifying early warning signs through data analytics and reporting tools, and preparing findings and recommendations for policy enhancements to minimize portfolio risk.
- What you bring
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent work experience to include 1+ years of internships
- 1+ years of experience in commercial credit analysis, credit risk, underwriting, or regulatory compliance within a banking or financial institution regulated by FDIC, OCC, or similar regulatory bodies
- Strong understanding of commercial lending regulations, underwriting standards, risk rating methodologies, and key financial metrics (i.e. Liquidity/leverage ratios, debt service coverage, Loan to Value, etc.)
- Proficiency in data analytics and reporting tools such as advanced Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools to perform gap analyses and audit/compliance remediation activities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports, presentations, and policy documentation for leadership and cross-functional stakeholders across Legal, Commercial Services, Audit, and Compliance
