Responsibilities

  • Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:
  • Ensure vehicle build data aligned with released vehicle hardware and software packages.
  • Generate and maintain vehicle-specific configuration data to support production and vehicle analysis.
  • Ensure configuration data is correctly formatted and delivered to downstream systems
  • Compare incoming and in-house parts with BOM (Bill of Material) and software release documentation. Identify and resolve discrepancies between actual parts and expected configurations.
  • Organize meetings and lead a solution finding process. Work together with other departments (e.g. Engineering, Production, Quality, Logistic, Material Planer, Purchasing, etc.) to solve the problems.
  • Regularly confirm that the vehicle build data matches the released vehicle software package.
  • Align and monitor part inventory at the JIS/JIT suppliers, keeping suppliers informed about the required vehicle software data to ensure the supply chain is not compromised
  • Ensure high standards of data integrity across all vehicle programs
  • Maintain detailed records of build data, validation activities, and configuration changes
  • Provide regular reports
  • Support root cause analysis for build-related issues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

  • Location & Travel Expectations :
  • This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Blythewood, South Carolina
  • This role requires 4-5 days per week in the office, with regular in-person meetings and events.
  • Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in automotive technology, electrical, software engineering or related field. An equivalent amount of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 2+ years job-related experience
  • Knowledge of software release processes.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • High analytical skills in resolving data and processing inconsistencies across linked systems.
  • Skills with navigating organizations and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Developing and promoting effective stakeholder relationships.
  • Demonstrates personal accountability and follow-through.
  • Proficient in the creation of reports.
  • Ability to work independently and in a structured manner, displaying a high level of commitment, effective communication, and teamwork skills.
