Skills & Experience Strong leadership and team management skills Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions Highly organised with strong attention to detail Proactive, flexible, and solutions-focused approach IT literate, including Microsoft Office Desirable Experience Previous supervisory experience (2-3 years preferred) Experience in logistics, transport, or supply chain environments Knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma methodologies Experience managing KPIs, performance, and continuous improvement programmes Qualifications & Requirements GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English Understanding of Health & Safety regulations Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) - desirable Full UK Driving Licence (HGV Class 2 preferred) Maximum of 6 points on driving licence (preferred) Your Mission at Elis Key Responsibilities Supervise daily logistics operations including driver coordination, routing, and delivery performance Ensure full compliance with operator licence requirements, EU regulations, and site standards Monitor and analyse logistics data (e.g. TMS, telematics) to drive continuous improvement Optimise delivery routes to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs Ensure fleet maintenance schedules and documentation meet regulatory standards Lead, coach, and develop team members including drivers and service staff Manage performance through reviews, KPIs, and disciplinary processes where required Maintain stock levels for operational continuity (e.g. driver equipment and supplies) Support budget management and investigate cost variances Conduct risk assessments and implement safety improvements Drive operational excellence initiatives (e.g. Lean, 5S methodologies) Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver excellent customer service What's on offer? 29 Days Holiday Employee Assistance Programme
