Responsibilities

  • As a Product Design Engineer, you'll be part of our Taiwan Design Center team located in Taiwan. You'll get to:
  • Conduct mechanical design for hand tools.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing sites and vendors to develop designs that reduce scrap/loss, enhance process capability, and ensure product consistency.
  • Provide technical leadership and design for manufacturing to meet product requirements and maintain part quality at competitive costs.
  • Develop product specifications, workmanship standards, and performance expectations.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or higher, with 5-10 years of experience in product design and familiarity with the product development process.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the hand tool industry.
  • Proficiency in CATIA, FEM analysis, and optimization, along with familiarity with manufacturing processes.
  • A minimum TOEIC score of 600 and proficiency in MS Office.
  • A proactive approach to project management and experience in global teamwork (desired).
