Purpose Provide technical project management oversight to multiple key projects within the Texas Institute for Electronics, a semiconductor consortium of state and local government, preeminent defense electronics, semiconductor companies, national labs, and nationally recognized academic institutions. Effectively manage highly technical multi-disciplinary teams and projects, ensuring schedules are met and critical stakeholders are informed of current progress or roadblocks.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the work by a team of mechanical systems engineers in the research and development of novel electrical, mechanical, software and systems related to advanced 3D HI processes.
- Develop, coordinate, oversee, and ensure completion of multiple project task lists and schedules related to the design, fabrication, assembly, and tests of equipment systems.
- Manage and direct assigned projects with emphasis on time schedule control, coordination of project development and implementation, and communication with designated clients.
- Develops project plans including project life cycle, budgets, resource requirements, change management processes, risk management, key milestones, communication mechanisms, test plans and deliverables.
- Implements and recommends policies and procedures to ensure compliance of all applicable laws, University policies, rules and regulations.
- Manages project implementation including emergent issues with emphasis on time schedule control to ensure all tasks are completed within established deadlines and budgets.
- Prepares detailed reports on project progress with stakeholders and teams to include project plans, barriers and solutions, milestones, financial costs/projections and analyses. Coordinate with key stakeholders and team leads to management scope changes.
