Introduction to the job As a customs and export control classification specialist, you help ensure ASML can deliver its advanced technology worldwide in a compliant way. You play an important role in enabling global trade while meeting international regulations. Working in a global team across three continents, your work supports a reliable and compliant supply chain-one of ASML's core values and key to meeting customer commitments. Role and responsibilities In this role, you apply your expertise in customs and export control classification to support daily operations and continuous improvement. You act as a trusted partner for internal stakeholders and help translate regulations into practical solutions. You will be part of a global centralized team based in Veldhoven, the Netherlands, with colleagues in Korea and the United States. Your responsibilities include: Perform customs and export control classifications of products and technologies Determine the country of origin in line with applicable regulations Handle legal control blocks using systems such as SAP GTS and Oracle GTM Maintain and improve the master classification database Act as the go-to specialist for classification-related questions from internal teams Identify opportunities and provide suggestions to improve processes Education and experience Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field At least 3 years of experience in customs and export control classification Experience with product classification, preferably in a technical environment Familiarity with SAP ECC, SAP GTS, or Oracle GTM is preferred Knowledge of United States export control regulations Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Experience working in international and multidisciplinary teams
