Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/innovative-medicine DISSO (Dissolution and In vitro Release Sciences, Simulations, and Optimization) is part of the Global Analytical Development organization within the Therapeutics Development & Supply (TDS) department. We develop dissolution and in vitro release methods for immediate, modified, and targeted release formulations for oral, parenteral, and other administration routes. We investigate, characterize, and predict release rates in standard and biorelevant dissolution media using hands-on experimentation as well as using predictive modelling/data sciences. We validate and transfer methods, and we investigate deviating release rates to improve our methods and drug products. The position will be performed out of the Beerse Campus in Belgium. Job description As a DISSO Scientist you will apply the latest scientific thinking in dissolution testing to help bringing new medication to patients worldwide. You will develop, plan, and follow-up on dissolution work to select the best possible dosage form for the patient. You will take an active part to biopharmaceutical assessment strategy towards predicting in vivo exposure using in vitro data, to the improvement of biorelevant methods and develop clinically relevant QC methods and specifications. Contribute to the automation strategy within the team. Contribute to a further mechanistic understanding of dissolution. Contribute to progress data modelling and analysis approaches. You will participate to technical and strategical meetings with colleagues in Beerse or in different sites remotely around the world, and will represent the Dissolution Sciences team in cross-functional environment including formulation development, pharmaceutical sciences, clinical pharmacology, quality assurance and regulatory. You will also be responsible for writing and review technical and scientific documents. This is a temporary position.
