Additional Information

Role Engage in both independent and collaborative research in the field of Atomic, Molecular, and Optical (AMO) physics, focusing on quantum information applications. Develop scalable architectures for neutral-atom Quantum Processing Units (QPUs) with cavity Quantum Electrodynamics (QED) atom-light interfaces, towards distributed quantum computing and quantum communications. This involves close collaboration with NanoQT's FTQC/Quantum Information team (including high-rate QEC specialists). Develop and/or optimize protocols for fast and high-fidelity neutral-atom qubit operations, both in free space and in optical cavities. Propose novel applications of neutral atom and cavity QED systems for quantum communications, quantum sensing, analog quantum simulations, and other emerging quantum technologies. Publish results in peer-reviewed academic journals. Contribute to the design and optimization of nanofiber cavity QED and free-space neutral atom hardware, working closely with NanoQT's hardware team (cold-atom and cavity QED experimentalists).
