Required Education: Associate Degree Nursing Recommended Education: Bachelor's Degree Nursing Required Work Experience: Nursing - 3 years of experience Recommended Work Experience: Required Certifications: Basic Certified (NREMT) - National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT), Must obtain National Registry of EMT-Basic within 18 months of hire - NREMT-Basic- NREMT, Must obtain Neonatal Pediatric Transport (C-NPT) within 24 months of Hire - C-NPT-NCC, Must obtain Transport EMT within 18 months of hire - EMT-ADH, Neonatal Pediatric Transport (C-NPT) - NCC, Registered Nurse (RN) license - Arkansas or Compact State, Transport - EMT (AR) - Arkansas Department of Health Recommended Certifications: 1. Demonstrates and promotes excellence in the application of the AC Model of Patient and Family-Centered care. Evaluates and treats patients prior to and during transport, ensuring patient safety and implementing life support measures as needed. 2. Monitors patient's condition, documents nursing care, and reports patient status to clinical staff. Performs patient assessments, problem identification, administers IV medications and implements plan of care. 3. Coordinates plan of care with other healthcare team members and initiates action to prevent current or potential risk to patient in an emergency situation. 4. Recognizes, reports, responds to, records and re-evaluates changes in pertinent patient information on conditions in appropriate time frame. 5. Communicates and collaborates through verbal and written reports to assure continuity of care. 6. Provides and promotes safe transportation of patient while delivering quality care. Complies with safety instructions, maintains inflectional control, secures patient in transport, and loads all required equipment into aircraft. 7. Assists in maintaining a safe transport environment by performing second crewmember walks, foreign object damage inspection, assisting pilot in pre-flight checklist, and maintaining a sterile cockpit until instructed by the pilot. 8. Promotes performance improvement and activities to improve quality of care. 9. Performs other duties as assigned.
