Responsibilities

  • Skills & Experience Requirements:

  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in grain transportation and inventory management. Equivalent combinations of education and related experience will be considered.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the grain industry, including rail logistics, transportation requirements, and supply chain processes.
  • Working knowledge of grain marketing and country elevator operations to support alignment between transportation planning and sales commitments.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and mitigate risk.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with railways and external stakeholders, including negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral, written, and listening), with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and make timely decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and experience with database/reporting systems in a Windows-based environment.
