The Research Informatics Operations (RIO) Co-Op Program at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute offers motivated undergraduate students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic healthcare informatics and analytics (I&A) environment. Interns will collaborate with experienced I&A professionals on meaningful projects that support the institute's mission while developing technical and professional skills. It involves working with client-facing applications, providing system support, and discovering ways to enhance client experience. As a co-op in RIO, you will work as part of a team, under the supervision of a team member. You will be tasked with providing support to our Tier 1 team, assisting with customer requests, maintaining training materials, and analyzing service metrics. You will be introduced to a wide range of analytic tools, including automation and AI applications, that assist our team with providing top-tier customer satisfaction. You will work on assignments and projects that can be multi-disciplinary or interdepartmental. In this role you will develop an in-depth understanding of DFCI's I&A department and the Harvard Cancer Consortium (HCC). You will also learn how to effectively collaborate with other teams whose expertise in specific data systems and/or methodologies can assist with our client's business needs.
