Responsibilities

  • Track, analyze, and report on the financial status and performance of assigned projects.
  • Ensure financial procedures, controls, and policies are established and followed to meet all contractual and compliance obligations.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports in accordance with local, state, and corporate policies.
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of revenue recognition, project invoicing, journal entry preparation, and general accounting principles.
  • Support management and clients by translating financial data into clear, understandable insights for non-financial stakeholders.
  • Perform month-end close activities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial records.
  • Process payroll, manage accounts payable, and prepare and issue accounts receivable invoices.
  • Develop and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and cash flow analyses across multiple funding sources, and communicate overall contract financial health.
  • Administer supplier contract terms, verify compliance, and review and process payments.
  • Prepare financial performance reviews and maintain accurate, up-to-date project financial documentation.
  • Support fiscal operations including financial planning, fund management, accounting, reporting, and disbursement activities.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or a related field, with 3+ years of accounting experience and a desire to make a meaningful impact.
  • Prior experience with cost accounting, government fund accounting, and/or Oracle strongly preferred.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable team player who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across teams.
  • Highly driven and action-oriented, with proven success managing multiple priorities and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Proactive problem-solver who takes pride in identifying and resolving issues related to business practices, quality, and internal controls.
