The successful candidate will contribute to teaching in the School's core curricula at the undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels while having opportunities to teach elective curricula as well. At the same time, those in this role will be supported to pursue an ambitious research agenda and to lead or collaborate with research teams having national, regional and/or global impact. Any successful candidate will also be invited into the governance, leadership, and engagement work of the School. Successful candidates are expected to allocate their contributions as follows: 40% to teaching and related activities, 40% to research, and 20% to governance, leadership, and engagement. Over time, staff appointed to these roles will be supported to engage with professional development opportunities to build their capability to lead change and improvement in teaching and research at the University. Your key responsibilities will be to: contribute impactfully to advancing the frontiers of disciplinary knowledge through research and scholarly or creative activity; supervise and mentor developing researchers and contribute to researcher training; design and deliver engaging teaching aligned with University standards; lead or contribute to educational innovation, curriculum design, and review; maintain compliance with Work Health and Safety requirements; and contribute to governance, leadership, and engagement within the School and University and externally. To build on this performance, the University is seeking applications for the following positions Sydney Law School Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor in Law Positions Level B/C/D We are seeking outstanding teaching and research talent to contribute to both the advancement of research excellence and the delivery of high-quality teaching across our programs. Successful applicants will contribute to research performance, collaboration, and reputation, alongside teaching and curriculum development in the core Professional Law Programs (LLB/JD) and areas of growing demand within our Postgraduate Coursework Programs. Applicants at Level B will enjoy a reduced workload in their first year. While applications are welcomed from candidates with the capacity to teach in any area of our core curriculum, particular interest is sought from those with expertise in one or more of the following areas: Land Law; Tax; Media Law; Law, AI, and Technology; Family Law; and Labour/Employment Law.
