Responsibilities
- IT Request Evaluation: Lead the end-to-end evaluation lifecycle of incoming IT requests; perform deep-dive technical research, gap analysis, and feasibility studies to assess their viability.
- Advisory & Recommendations: Formulate data-driven, technically sound recommendations to formally approve, reject, or modify IT requests, ensuring alignment with the enterprise target state.
- TAC Executive Interfacing: Serve as a primary technical advisor to senior leadership within the Technology and Architecture Council (TAC) ; present, defend, and brief evaluation findings and architectural recommendations.
- Workflow Re-engineering: Audit and evaluate the current, highly manual IT evaluation process to pinpoint operational bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and risks.
- Efficiency Implementation: Design, map, and implement a streamlined, modernized process that introduces automation, shortens cycle times, and enhances data accuracy for incoming requests.
- Service Management Integration: Drive the modernization of request tracking, ideally leveraging enterprise service management platforms to move from manual spreadsheets to automated workflows.
- Tracking & Documentation: Author comprehensive technical evaluation reports, business cases, and council briefing packages, maintaining rigorous version control and documentation of council decisions.
Requirements
- Required:
- Hands-on experience in Systems Engineering and IT Architecture.
- Strong working knowledge of matching technical solutions against rigid corporate governance frameworks or Government IT policies and regulations.
- Work Management Tooling: Strong proficiency with work management ecosystems (Jira, Confluence, MS Project).
- Demonstrated experience auditing manual processes and successfully implementing modernized, efficient, and measurable process improvements.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a proven track record of briefing and advising senior executives.

- Education and Experience:
- 14 years' experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.
- Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
- 5 years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree
- Desired:
