About the role

To facilitate our continued expansion, we are seeking a Facility Security Officer (FSO) to build and manage Hadrian's facility security program. This leader will work with federal, private, and internal partners to ensure compliance with government regulations, corporate policies, and industry standards. You will be Hadrian's primary point of contact for security matters related to classified information and will work closely with leadership across the Company to safeguard this information and maintain a secure working environment. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of, and experience navigating, the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), the facilities clearance (FCL) process and related management standards, the operations and requirements of the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA), and other relevant legal and regulatory regimes.

Responsibilities

  • Own, develop, and lead Hadrian's facility security program, ensuring compliance with NISPOM, DCSA requirements, and other applicable laws and regulations.
  • Administer and monitor personnel security clearances, access control systems, and visitor logs to ensure all requirements are met.
  • Conduct periodic security audits and assessments to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.
  • Partner closely with Hadrian's legal, IT, security, and manufacturing leadership to manage and safeguard classified information, work environments, and related operations.
  • Work with third-party and government stakeholders to maintain compliant protocols and obtain necessary permissions and approvals.
  • Develop and provide FCL/NISPOM-specific training to Hadrian employees and contractors involved in relevant programs.
  • Verify compliance with NISPOM and related requirements, enforce need-to-know barriers, and act as Hadrian's point of contact for incident response and management.

Requirements

  • 7-10+ years of experience in planning, developing, and implementing policies, procedures, and processes related to facility clearance, NISPOM, and related information security protocols.
  • Practical knowledge and experience with the Defense Information System for Security, National Industrial Security System, National Background Investigation Service, EAPP, and DCSA generally.
  • Previous FSO experience, including FSO certification, preferred.
  • U.S. citizenship.
  • Active T U.S. security clearance.
  • Proven success building systems from the ground up.
  • Strong experience managing multiple workflows and designing scalable systems.
  • Experienced strategic partner to senior leaders, managing complex processes and working with government and third-party partners to efficiently tackle difficult problems.
  • Comfortability handling sensitive, confidential, and classified materials.
