Position Summary As a Senior Mechanical Engineer , apply in-depth knowledge of engineering principles in resolving technical problems, investigating technologies, and working on sustaining current products and developing new products. Make independent decisions on research problems, technology investigations and new or improved product development. Essential Job Functions: Create documentation (drawings, specifications, ECOs) for electro-mechanical parts and assemblies. Lead designer of parts and assemblies. Work as part of a multi-disciplined development team of engineers, designers and technicians. Maintain proper documentation to substantiate patent applications and provide technical consultation when requested. Suggest innovations, design improvements and cost reductions for existing products. Participate in cross-functional design reviews at key milestones during the project life cycle. Participate in prototype and pilot production builds. Complete assignments within approved project budget and schedule parameters.
