Process / Production Technician (Chemical Plant)

Requirements

• NITEC / Diploma in Chemical Process Technology, Mechanical, Electrical, Engineering, Science or related field.
• Candidates with process, production, chemical plant, polymer, manufacturing or operation experience will be advantageous.
• Able to work in plant, production or manufacturing environment.
• Willing to perform hands-on work and follow shift arrangements if required.
• Able to follow SOP, safety procedures and work instructions.
• Basic troubleshooting, equipment operation or process monitoring knowledge will be an advantage.
• Responsible, safety-conscious, willing to learn and able to work in a team.

Job Description Operate and monitor daily production, process or plant activities to ensure smooth operation. Perform routine field checks, process monitoring, sampling and basic quality checks. Start up, shut down and troubleshoot production equipment according to SOP. Support production targets while maintaining safety, quality and housekeeping standards. Record process readings, operating data, production output and daily reports accurately. Assist in equipment preparation, basic maintenance coordination and plant improvement activities. Report any abnormal conditions, equipment issues or safety concerns to supervisors. Work closely with production, maintenance, quality and engineering teams.
