Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Assist and support the Business Development team in tender and proposal submissions.
• Conduct site surveys and prepare feasibility study reports
• Perform technical assessment such as Shading analysis, PVSyst simulation, consumption analysis and etc.
• Prepare tender documents for submission
• Prepare cost estimates for commercial proposals
• Assist and support the Project team in project execution.
• Prepare shopdrawing and design calculation report such as cable sizing and etc.
• Liaise with client regarding technical requirements
• Coordinate with consultants and authorities for design approvals
• Provide technical support and engineering advice to the project team
• Support the project team with technical advice for the installation team
• Review shop drawings and proposals from contractors or vendors and provide comments in accordance with authority requirements and local/international standards
• Evaluate the contractor's performance in terms of design and installation as part of the quality control process
• Understand the technologies and products available in the renewable market and provide support to other teams
• Follow up on authority requirements and ensure solutions comply with it
• Support the company's ISO management system by understanding requirements and providing the necessary documents
• Assist in the procurement process and provide technical input.
• Provide engineering support to other regional teams
• Liaise with new and existing vendors/suppliers to obtain pricelists and up-to-date product and service information with the procurement team
• Liaise with other teams to gather feedback on design and costing for continuous improvement
• Provide ad hoc engineering support to other regions within exploration

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma/Degree in Engineering field (Electrical engineering background would be an advantage)
• At least 2 years of working experience in renewable industry
• Proficient in engineering drawing interpretation and adept at applying requirements to design effectively
• Familiar with Autocad, PVSyst and Sketchup
• Quick learner, goal-oriented team player with strong communication and troubleshooting skills
