About the role

About the Position: Incumbent serves as the Chief, Plans and Operations Division, Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobilization and Security at a large garrison within the Installation Management Command (IMCOM). This incumbent supervises and is responsible for directing the formulation, coordination and execution of operational, emergency and disaster plans and policies for the garrison and assigned units. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. For the GS-13, Specialized experience is defined as: one year of specialized experience equivalent at least to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal Service which includes responsibility in directing the formulation, coordination and execution of operational, emergency and disaster plans and policies for the garrison and assigned units to include: anti-terrorism/force protection planning, mobilization, contingency plans, stationing and force development; installation operations center. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
