Your Opportunity Co-op or Intern, Cyber Cloud Security BDO Canada is currently seeking a Co-op or Intern, Cyber Cloud Security to join BDO Digital, supporting the Cyber Cloud Security delivery tea m and own ing the following responsibilities . Responsibilities will include: Assist in review of infrastructure design on premise and on the Cloud (inclusive of container security architecture, data security architecture, network security architecture, and operational security architecture). Support Cloud security engagements across various lifecycle phases - assessment, design, implementation, and optimization . Assist in developing and maintaining security documentation tailored for cloud environments, including operational frameworks, policies, standards, baselines, guidelines, and procedures. Assist team in working with leading cloud service providers including Amazon Web Services (AWS) , Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) , and various security vendors to understand their solution offerings and advise clients on appropriate technologies and architectures, based on their needs. Research and improve your knowledge base of current cloud technology advancements, trends and directions and identify the potential threats and exposures to our clients. Assist with the review of security-related events, assessing risk and validity, as well as reporting on security postures and recommending corrective actions when required . Authoring detailed and accurate reports with a high level of quality to be consumed by technical and non-technical audiences. Assist in proposal development process, as required Working with clients to ensure the y understand the impact to the Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability of their organization from assessment findings. Your experience and education Pursuit of a Bachelor's Degree or Advanced Diploma in Cyber S ecurity or related technology centric path. Demonstrated interest and dedication to the Cyber Security career path shown through related extra-curricular activities. Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to create clear and concise technical reports, documentation and presentations . Nice-to-have Skills/Experience: Familiarity with performing Risk Assessments and compliance reviews using industry frameworks such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF), ISO/IEC 27001, CIS Controls, or SOC 2 . Understanding of Security Operations Center (SOC) concepts, responsibilities, and toolsets, including experience with SIEM platforms (e.g., Microsoft Sentinel) and Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) tools (e.g., CrowdStrike, Carbon Black, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint). Hands-on experience or conceptual knowledge of Cloud Security Engineering in platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP. Awareness of Zero Trust Architecture principles and modern security practices, such as identity-based access control, micro-segmentation, and secure API management. Understanding of AI/ML-driven threat detection tools and their application in modern cybersecurity. The expected range of compensation for this role is $53,000-$78,000. Why BDO?
