Department/Unit: Client Services Patient Lab Work Shift: Night (United States of America) Salary Range: $40,310.00 - $52,403.00 Courier - Lab The Laboratory Courier (LC) delivers supplies and reports to laboratory clients and picks up, transports, and delivers routine and expedited specimens from the client sites to the laboratory. The Courier ensures that the quality of specimens is maintained throughout the transport process and keeps specimen-tracking logs. This position also functions as a liaison between Laboratory Client Service and staff at client sites. This individual is responsible for keeping the transport vehicle clean and orderly. This position is a set 7:00pm-3:00am. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Include but not limited to the following: Drives safely and follows all related laws. Transports specimens, reports, equipment and supplies to various locations in a reliable and timely fashion. Follows the assigned courier run within the designated time frame. Communicates effectively with nursing staff, physicians and other staff at the client site(s) and maintains a professional relationship with Client Service staff. Completes daily logs of destinations and times.
