As a Regional Claims Specialist , you will take end-to-end ownership of a diverse portfolio of rental vehicle claims across your designated region. You will investigate incidents, determine liability, manage complex customer disputes, negotiate recoveries, and drive claims through to resolution while balancing commercial outcomes with exceptional customer experience. This is a full‑time remote opportunity. While the role supports a designated region, you will work as part of a nationally connected Claims Team. Your Role Reporting to the National Claims Manager, you will assess liability, negotiate with third parties and insurers, and resolve disputes, while delivering a strong and consistent customer experience throughout the claims lifecycle. Your key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to): Assessing liability across a range of claim types, including single vehicle incidents, multi-vehicle accidents, theft claims and third-party matters. Managing disputed claims and supporting the National Claims Manager with escalated or complex claims matters. Responding to and managing AFIA complaints and other external dispute resolution matters within required timeframes. Assisting with tribunal-related matters, including preparation of evidence, submissions, and attendance where required. Providing claims guidance and support to Branch Managers, Fleet Controllers and operational stakeholders to improve claims quality, liability outcomes and recovery performance. Assisting with fraud identification and investigation activities. Preparing and contributing to regional claims and recovery reporting to support business performance and decision-making. Your Skills Experience in motor claims, rental vehicle claims, or general insurance claims handling. Demonstrated ability to assess liability, investigate claims, and resolve disputes in a customer-focused environment. Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to manage disputes and influence outcomes. Ability to manage a high-volume workload in a fast-paced environment. Strong time management and organisational skills, with high attention to detail. Confidence handling phone-based conversations, including challenging situations. Clear and professional communication skills with a customer-focused approach. Strong problem-solving ability and sound decision-making skills. Ability to work independently and contribute to a team environment.
