Detailed Design Engineer / Engineering Coordinator (Water & Wastewater Treatment)

Responsibilities

• Engineering & Design
• Prepare and develop detailed engineering deliverables for water and wastewater treatment projects in accordance with project specifications, client requirements, and industry standards.
• Prepare and coordinate:P&ID DrawingsFabrication DrawingsEquipment Layout DrawingsPipe Routing DrawingsEquipment Modelling Drawings
• Perform material take-offs (MTO) and support engineering quantity verification.
• Ensure engineering deliverables are completed accurately and within project schedules.
• Engineering Coordination
• Coordinate with in-house and overseas engineering and design teams to ensure timely completion of engineering deliverables.
• Interface with process, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation, procurement, and construction teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Track engineering progress and assist in resolving design and technical issues.
• Support engineering document control and design review activities.
• Project Support
• Participate in value engineering initiatives to improve project efficiency and reduce project costs.
• Support tendering and proposal activities by providing engineering and design input.
• Provide engineering support to Project Management, Construction, and Commissioning Teams as required.
• Assist with technical clarifications, design revisions, and as-built documentation.
• Qualifications & Requirements
• Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent qualification in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in detailed engineering, design, or engineering coordination roles.
• Experience in water treatment, wastewater treatment, ultra-pure water (UPW), industrial utilities, or process plant projects is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings, piping layouts, equipment layouts, and 3D modelling.
• Highly motivated, organized, and capable of working under pressure in a fast-paced project environment.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.

We are seeking a Detailed Design Engineer / Engineering Coordinator to support the engineering, design coordination, and project execution of industrial water, wastewater, and ultra-pure water treatment facilities. The successful candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop detailed design deliverables, coordinate engineering activities, and support project execution from design through commissioning. Candidates with experience in water treatment, wastewater treatment, desalination, reuse water, industrial utilities, or ultra-pure water (UPW) systems will be highly preferred.
