About the role
Responsible for the efficient and effective management of data assets as well as designing and implementing data management strategy and processes related to acquiring, organizing, storing, integrating, and maintaining data within an organization. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma/GED 7 years related work experience Proficiency in relational and cloud database platforms, including Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Azure SQL Database, AWS RDS, and Google Cloud SQL. Strong expertise in data modeling and architecture (ER modeling, normalization, schema design) and performance tuning techniques such as query optimization, indexing, and partitioning. In-depth knowledge of high availability and disaster recovery strategies (clustering, replication, AlwaysOn) and security practices including encryption, auditing, and role-based access control. Experience with automation and scripting using PowerShell, Python, T-SQL, and PL/SQL, as well as infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform and Ansible for database provisioning. Familiarity with monitoring tools (SQL Profiler, Oracle Enterprise Manager, SolarWinds DPA) and compliance standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, and SOX.
