Location 680 Lake Shore Drive Job Description General Summary: This position serves in a leadership role in the Center for Childhood Resilience. The Center for Childhood Resilience (CCR) is a program in the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago. This Program Leader position provides programmatic, project and strategic leadership to CCR including plans, coordinates, communicates and evaluates systems and processes that enhance and further CCR. Builds and maintains strong, collaborative working relationships within Lurie Children's and with external parties. The position actively supports the CCR team, Department and Hospital efforts to achieve continuous quality improvement, customer service goals through modeling of appropriate behavior and by providing a work environment conducive to attaining these goals. Essential Job Functions: Responsible for all evidence-based and evidence-informed school mental health interventions, including program development and implementation, project teams, program evaluation and quality improvement, partner relationship management. Accountable for full lifecycle of grants and external funding including proposal development, submissions, program planning, implementation and reporting. Spearhead local, state and national conference submissions, including serving as lead author and support to team members with conference submissions. Participate as contributing author to manuscripts and publications and other scholarly efforts as appropriate. Responsible to build and maintain internal and external partnerships and bridge connections across partners which foster growth and goal achievement. Participate in staffing, recruitment and hiring for functional areas including recruitment and hiring in alignment with funding and budgets. Key role in onboarding and training of new team members in collaboration with other functional areas and program leaders. Oversees work of program coordinator and administrative support assigned to the projects and programs. Participates in performance reviews of team members. Leads the development and implementation of program area including innovation and investigation goals, and in coordination with other functional and program areas. Works to strategically grow CCR through identifying, vetting, and developing new projects, partnerships, and funding opportunities in alignment with strategic priorities. Ensures that program area has clear plan for investigation or quality improvement that demonstrate the impact of the work and identifies areas for improvement. Works to develop new areas of work and funding, including working with Operations to create proposals and budgets that provide adequate support for program goals in alignment with strategic priorities. Serves as a relationship manager for key partnerships with focus on those that have high potential for impact, represent new growth opportunities and enhance the reputation of CCR at local, regional and national levels. Writes philanthropic, grant and proposals in collaboration with partners within and outside of Lurie Children's; ensure goals, objectives and reporting requirements are met; support ongoing communication with funders and potential funders and strategic partners. Accountable for program and project staffing in alignment with program and project budgets including selecting, onboarding, and training of new team members. Provide input in performance reviews of team members. Promotes evidence-based practices through training and delivering supported implementation/technical assistance on clinical mental health interventions. This includes collaboration with national experts to complete certified trainer credentialing and disseminate interventions, supported implementation and research and evaluation efforts. Participates in dissemination and quality improvement, evaluation, and research of program efforts, and scholarly activities including publishing and presenting at local, regional, and national conferences, focusing on identifying school mental health projects that have high potential for contributing to the research literature and for raising the visibility of CCR, Department and Hospital. Represents CCR and Lurie Children's in public spaces, including acting as a content expert regarding matters of child and adolescent behavioral and mental matters, and by responding to media requests.
