Job Description Must have minimum 1 year experience in core US mortgage residential underwriting (UK, Australia, NZ, other countries. need not apply) Maintain a working knowledge of US Mortgage Originations closing procedures, federal and state lending laws. Interpret investor guidelines FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA and USDA and apply them to specific loans. Review all property documents (appraisal, purchase agreement, title, insurance, etc.) for accuracy and completeness. Ensure that the property is structurally sound, meets agency guidelines & client overlays and determine the soundness and accuracy of the property appraisal report. Review the title & insurance documents to ensure sufficient coverage and all encumbrances, clauses on title have been adequately addressed. Audit the property documents from a salability standpoint daily and note any exceptions. Assess risk and review for Frauds and Red Flags.
