About the role
You will be part of the research team under the Heart Protection theme at the National Heart Research Institute of Singapore (NHRIS), National Heart Centre of Singapore (NHCS), dedicated to developing innovative strategies to prevent and treat heart injury. You will support ongoing research projects in therapeutic development and contribute to a range of molecular experiments and formulation work, including RNA synthesis, modification, and purification, as well as the preparation and optimisation oflipid nanoparticles (LNPs) and other delivery formulations. You will also conduct in vitro assays encompassing cell culture, molecular analysis, and characterisation, alongside in vivo validation work. Beyond experimental responsibilities, you will maintain accurate laboratory records and ensure proper documentation throughout. You will support general lab operations - including reagent preparation, equipment maintenance, and purchasing - while working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Jobrequirements: Bachelor's degree in chemistry/ Materials Science, Molecular Biology, Biomedical Science, or related fields At least 2 years' experience either in RNA therapeutics/ RNA synthesis/ RNA biology, or in Chemical synthesis/ LNP delivery Strong hands-on laboratory skills and experimental troubleshooting ability Good communication and organisational skills Documented proof of: (i) Measles (or MMR - Mumps, Measles and Rubella) vaccination or serological evidence of measles immunity; and (ii) Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria and Pertussis) vaccination received within the last 10 years, as required for all healthcare workers under the Healthcare Services Act. Applicants without these vaccinations may apply if they commit to completing the required vaccination(s) before work commencement, upon successful job offer.
