About the role
The Branch Operations & Safety Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of their assigned branch. This includes daily branch activity, logistics, safety, profit and loss (P&L) management, employee supervision, resource management, process adherence, and identifying improvement opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the day-to-day activities of their assigned branch location. Manage, motivate, and train employees
- Establish the budget for the general operations and office activities
- Develops short and long-term objectives for the branch operations
- Implements business strategies set forth by Senior Management as well as review and implement company and department procedures
- Review and audit various reports and information such as direct billing edit report, customer credits, customer invoices, and vendor credit listings
- Authorizes all credits issued to customers and investigates and resolves pricing problems and discrepancies
- Order fulfilment surveillance, supporting sales, inventory surveillance and warehouse management, order processing, material management, customer interface, build strong customer/supplier relationships
- Oversees facilities maintenance including communicating with landlords. Ensures maintenance of office equipment
- Supports the Region/Branch safety agenda and drive safety compliance throughout the Region/Branch
- Participate in various committees and task forces and participates in improving the business
- Organize, oversee, and participate in the year-end inventory and assists the Branch/Warehouse Manager(s) with management functions, when necessary

- 4+ years of operational experience
- High School or GED - Required
- 4 Year / Bachelor's Degree - Preferred
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of electrical distribution industry, current market, customers, suppliers and competitors
- Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills are required
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Organization and time management skills, detail oriented, able to prioritize in a multi-tasking environment and ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines
