For over 20 years, Avid4 Adventure has empowered kids to live active outdoor lifestyles through our unique outdoor programming. We are hiring Overnight Camp Instructors for our Camp Blue Sky (Grades 1st- 5th) and Camp Windy Peak (Grades 6th-12th). Important Details Work Schedule : Overnight camps are a 24/7 operation. The leadership team will create a schedule that provides you with one evening off/week and segments of other time off throughout the week. Staff are required to live on site in the provided housing. Position Duration: Overnight camp programs run from May 31 through August 1. Training starts as soon as available. Compensation : Pay is determined based on position, additional responsibilities, relevant certifications, and staff tenure. Starting weekly are below: Instructors: $440/week Specialists: $462- $528/week Relevant Certification Bonuses : Wilderness First Aid: $100 Wilderness First Responder/EMT: $350 Additional bonuses available for $100 - $400 per certification paid end-of-season We have limited positions available for non-drivers. Drivers must be 20+, have had a valid driver's license for 3+ years, and a clean driving record. Job Duties Provide 24-hour support with guidance, supervision, safety and comfort for participants during all activities. Co-lead daily outdoor programming including mountain biking, rock climbing, kayaking, canoeing, SUPing and Leave No Trace principles. Organize and participate in camp programming, ranging from outdoor sports to camp games and rituals Follow and educate campers on safety protocols to ensure the safety and wellbeing of participants Serve as a role model and guide campers by exhibiting appropriate behavior, attitudes, and activities Provide exceptional customer service to parents and all participants in our programs. If you are a trained Driver, transport up to 13 campers to and from program areas with company passenger vans. Candidates with increased experience in one or more of our core sports may serve as a program area expert (i.e., as a Specialist) either supporting multi sport camps or instructing single sport camps in: climbing, mountain biking, whitewater paddling, or survival skills. Your Background Our visa window is closed and we are no longer accepting applicants who require visa sponsorship. Must be at least 18 years of age by the start of camp for all positions (limited non-driver roles) Drivers : Must be at least 20 years of age, 3-year valid driver's license, and have a clean driving record +1 years of experience working with kids in a professional or volunteer setting preferred Experience in our core sports is highly preferred, but not required for all positions (required for Specialists) Minimum of Basic First Aid, CPR, and Mandatory Reporter certification by the start of camp (and we can point you in the right direction to get this done!!)
