Job responsibilities include the following: - Responsible for training regarding in-house office procedures for new staff - Handles end of day closing processes for the regional center - Knowledge of the programs and operations of the division that are essential to appropriately route visitors and callers - Responsible for logistics and taking minutes associated with meetings The Division of Services for the Deaf and the Hard of Hearing (DSDHH) assures equal access to North Carolina citizens who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing and Deaf-Blind. Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences Salary Range: $32,500 - $49,340 Recruitment Range: $32,500 - $37,595 Candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they meet the minimum education and experience listed on the vacancy announcement. The Knowledge Skills and Abilities/ Management Preferences are not required. Applicants who possess the following skills are preferred. Exceptional Customer Service; ability to use TTY and video phone; Basic knowledge of working with consumers with various degree of hearing loss. Basic sign language skills is a preference, and must be willing to learn if there is no prior possession of these skills. Previous office administration experience including filing, scheduling employment, drafting documents, and processing mail.
