About the role
Location: Old Road Campus, Headington, Oxford, OX3 7LF Oxford Population Health (Nuffield Department of Population Health) contains world-renowned population health research groups and provides an excellent environment for multi-disciplinary research and teaching. The China Kadoorie Biobank (CKB) Study is a uniquely rich and powerful global resource for investigating the environmental and genetic determinants of common chronic diseases. We are seeking a talented researcher enthusiastic about cross-disciplinary environmental epidemiology to join our team for a 7-year Wellcome Trust-funded programme on climate change and health based within the China Kadoorie Biobank. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to develop novel approaches and analyses at the intersection of environmental epidemiology, exposure science, molecular epidemiology, biostatistics, and data science to achieve the project's aims. To be considered for the Environmental and Molecular Epidemiologist post, you will hold PhD (or close to completion) in environmental epidemiology, molecular epidemiology, or a closely related discipline. You will have experience in conducting quantitative research in environmental and/or molecular epidemiology, with strong quantitative analysis skills and robust knowledge of relevant epidemiological and statistical methods. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also essential for this role. The position is full time and fixed term for 2 years (in the first instance).
