The added value lies in delivering end-to-end solutions-from equipment and clips to service and digital support-that optimize performance, maximize uptime, and help customers bring high-quality, secure products to market faster and more sustainably. πŸ” About the Role We are looking for a hands-on Production Engineer / Mechanical Engineer who will: Optimize and maintain our existing production equipment and processes Design and update machine parts and convert old / hand drawings into proper 3D models Drive process improvements, automation and innovation projects Act as a technical bridge between production, operations, quality and sales , ensuring our products and capabilities match market and customer needs The role is almost 100% on-site in Glinde , working very closely with operators and mechanics on the shop floor. 🧠 What You'll Do In this role you are the technical backbone of our clip production in Glinde. You turn old machines and hand drawings into modern, efficient, well-documented equipment . You spend your time where the action is - directly in production with operators and mechanics - and use your mechanical know‑how and SolidWorks skills to improve machines, reduce waste, and prepare our site for the next generation of automation and products. Typical daily to‑do's Be on the shop floor , talk with operators/mechanics, understand issues and ideas Analyze downtime, scrap and bottlenecks and define concrete improvement measures Use SolidWorks to model and update machine parts and convert old/hand drawings Plan and support modifications and upgrades of existing presses and equipment Evaluate and implement automation/innovation ideas with internal and external partners Align with quality and sales so that machine capabilities match customer and market needs Document changes and ensure that drawings and technical data are always up to date πŸ› οΈ What You Bring We encourage each of our 12,000+ employees to bring their unique self to work and aim to make everyone feel recognized, valued and free to explore their potential. You will recognize in yourself that you: Have an engineering degree (or equivalent technical background), for example: Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Automation / Electrical Engineering Located in or near Glinde Hands-on experience with industrial machinery / production lines Strong experience with 3D CAD specifically SolidWorks (or similar) Ability to design and modify machine parts and assemblies Experience with production/industrial machinery (maintenance, improvement, or design) Able to analyze and improve production processes (productivity, quality, waste reduction, uptime) Fluent German (daily communication with operators, mechanics, and internal stakeholders) 🌟 Nice to Have Experience with: Presses and forming of aluminum or similar metal-forming processes Automation / robotics and integration of such systems into production lines Project management with external engineering firms, machine suppliers, or automation partners Food processing / food packaging industry (understanding of sector-specific requirements) Experience in modernizing old machines and drawings (e.g., converting hand drawings to 3D models, upgrading legacy equipment) Exposure to continuous improvement methods (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma - even at a basic level) Ability to support quality with simple fixtures or devices to speed up measurements and checks 🏬 Why Join Us?
