Job Title Truck & Trailer Technician (Evening) About This Role: Giant Tiger Wholesale (GTW) is looking to hire a Truck & Trailer Technician for our state-of-the-art facility in Johnstown, ON! GTW can offer a permanent opportunity with full medical/dental benefits, a store discount, onsite gym access, and career growth opportunities. Reporting to the Fleet Maintenance Supervisor, the Truck & Trailer Technician is responsible for diagnosing problems and making repairs to all types of trucks, trailers, and other fleet equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and repair vehicles (e.g., diesel, gas-powered vans, service trucks).
• Identifies parts, creates parts lists, and orders/receives parts
• Performs preventive maintenance inspections; completes related reports (e.g., repairs
• needed) and submits to supervisor.
• Exchanges information with Fleet staff regarding repairs.
• Answers phone/radio and relays messages, as required
• Safely handles and cares for tools, laptop, and vehicles.
• Performs related duties, as assigned.

Requirements

• G class license - AZ License Preferred
• Minimum 1-2 years of related work experience
• Strong Mechanical and Technical aptitude
• A cooperative team player attitude with a positive work ethic
• Experience operating hand and air tools,
• Ability to lift heavy parts.
• Knowledge of transportation industry and regulations
• Good written and communication skills
• Truck & Trailer Technician Schedule:
• Sunday to Thursday 4:00 pm to 12:00 am, additional hours available.

• Hourly Rate
• $19.95 - $32.95
