About the role

You will serve as a Chemist in the Research and Development Group, Research Department, Chemistry Division, Analytical Chemistry Branch of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE. In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DP-04 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following: 1) Developing and executing a basic and/or applied research program based on automated systems and mass spectrometry; 2) Developing and executing research based on high throughput, automated systems for the accelerated synthesis and characterization of novel materials; 3) Building strong, broad-reaching working relationships with research funding sponsors and stakeholders; 4) Writing research proposals and communicating research results; 5) Work with various stakeholders on defining research goals and plans to achieve those goals.
