What will you do as a West Coast IT & Operational Technology (OT) Support Engineer ? Vopak is seeking a proactive, hands-on Junior to Mid-Level IT Support / Field Technician to provide on-site support across our West Coast terminals, covering both IT and Operational Technology (OT) environments. This dual-purpose role is critical to maintaining operational continuity. The technician will support the acceleration of IT Workplace Maintenance and Modernization initiatives while also providing foundational OT system support to ensure maximum uptime, system reliability, and regulatory compliance. Ongoing professional development in IT infrastructure, endpoint management, networking, or foundational OT systems is encouraged. 2-4 years of hands-on IT support experience in a field, industrial, or multi-site environment. Experience supporting Windows endpoints, laptops, peripherals, printers, and mobile devices in a corporate environment. Working knowledge of ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow) and familiarity with ITIL-based incident and request management processes. Experience maintaining asset inventories and configuration data (CMDB exposure preferred). Exposure to network troubleshooting (basic connectivity, switches, VLAN awareness, Wi-Fi diagnostics). Experience supporting meeting room or collaboration technologies (Google Workspace, conferencing systems, ClickShare, etc.). Familiarity with Active Directory user administration (account provisioning, access management, group membership). Exposure to industrial, operational, or regulated environments (OT, manufacturing, energy, terminals, maritime, etc.) is preferred but not required Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field. Alternative: Relevant technical training from a recognized vocational or trade school program. Relevant technical certifications are a plus (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, ITIL Foundation, Google Workspace, Microsoft, or similar). Competencies Advanced Troubleshooting & Field Support Skills. Demonstrates strong hands-on technical capability to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and endpoint issues in a multi-site operational environment. IT/OT Learning Agility. Exhibits high growth potential and willingness to develop foundational knowledge of OT and automation systems (e.g., SCADA, industrial controls) under senior guidance. Continuous Development Mindset. Proactively pursues training and certifications to expand expertise in IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and OT-related systems. Operational Ownership & Independence. Capable of serving as the primary on-site IT point of contact, ensuring service continuity, issue follow-through, and stable terminal operations. Cross-Functional Communication. Communicates clearly and professionally with terminal leadership, end users, and Global IT functional teams, effectively bridging local needs with enterprise standards. Provide hands-on support for company desktops, laptops, Chromebox, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals across offices and terminals. Incident, Request & Problem Management (ITIL-Aligned). Manage tickets through ServiceNow (INC, RITM, PRB) in compliance with ITIL processes. IT Asset & Configuration Management (CMDB Accuracy). Maintain high-quality asset data and lifecycle compliance.
