About the role

This is a high-impact role within the Credit Risk function of a leading international bank. The Legal Documentation Analyst will sit at the intersection of risk, legal, and front-office teams, ensuring that the bank's credit exposures are accurately reflected, properly governed, and fully supported by robust legal documentation. You'll play a critical part in protecting the bank's balance sheet by reviewing, analysing, and managing the legal frameworks that underpin lending, trading, and counterparty relationships. Work closely with Legal, Front Office, and Operations to resolve discrepancies, negotiate changes, and ensure timely execution of documents. Maintain documentation records and controls , ensuring compliance with internal policies, regulatory standards, and audit requirements. Support onboarding of new clients and transactions , ensuring all required legal documents are complete, accurate, and enforceable. Monitor ongoing documentation obligations , including covenant reporting, renewals, waivers, and amendments. Contribute to process improvements , documentation standards, and risk governance initiatives across the credit function. Skills & Experience Strong understanding of credit products , including bilateral and syndicated loans, project finance, trade finance, and structured lending. Experience reviewing legal documentation within a bank, law firm, or financial institution. Ability to interpret complex legal language and translate it into clear, actionable risk considerations. Solid grasp of credit risk principles , collateral structures, and counterparty risk. Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to documentation control. Strong communication skills, with confidence engaging stakeholders across Legal, Risk, and Front Office. Proactive mindset with the ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines.
