Job's mission As our Regional EHS Manager for Japan, you'll be the driving force behind creating a safe, compliant, and proactive work environment across our local service operations. In this strategic role, you'll lead health and safety programs that protect our people, ensure customer trust, and align with ASM's global vision. You'll work closely with regional leadership and global counterparts to ensure our safety standards stay ahead of evolving industry regulations and customer expectations. What you will be working on Lead the execution and continuous improvement of ASM's Health & Safety (H&S) programs across Japan's Service region Serve as the main safety leader for the region, partnering with management, service teams, and customer sites to ensure safe work environments Ensure compliance with all applicable local/regional regulations, ASM policies, SEMI standards, and customer-specific safety procedures Provide strategic and tactical guidance on H&S matters to Japan Service Management and Global EHS leaders Serve as a subject matter expert to regional teams on safety-related issues and workplace risk mitigation Analyze safety data and metrics, identify trends, and implement action plans that drive performance and reduce risk Coordinate and enhance safety incident investigations, emergency response planning, and health case reporting Develop, maintain, and deliver safety training programs for service engineers and office personnel Build and maintain trusted relationships with customer EHS counterparts to align programs and ensure seamless compliance Organize and lead safety committee meetings, representing the voice of the service organization Contribute to global alignment by working with other regional Service Safety Managers to define and standardize H&S procedures and documentation Provide leadership and technical guidance to a local team of EHS Engineers Travel up to 50% within Japan to support service offices and customer fab sites
