Job Overview The Lactation Clinic Coordinator is responsible for the overall coordination of the Lactation Services throughout LA and OC. The Coordinator supervises and monitors the Lactation Clinic referrals, updates and manages client files through the use of electronic medical records, develops of lactation clinic schedule, and provides lactation classes. Other r esponsibilities include tracking and monitoring patient progress and ensuring that data collection and reporting processes are accurate and valid. Lastly, the Coordinator manages and tracks the referral of clients to necessary support services in the community. Minimum Requirements High School diploma required. Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Community Programming, Health Administration, Business, and other health-related fields preferred. A Medical Assistant certificate from an accredited school is preferred. Certified Lactation Educator preferred. Previous experience working with women's health and working with low-income , at-risk populations is preferred. A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines.
