Responsibilities

• Conduct literature review on Gen AI for mathematics instruction.
• Design Gen AI-related instructional material for Calculus under the supervision of the Principal Investigator.
• Design research instrument under the supervision of the Principal Investigator.
• Collecting data and analysing data related to this project.
• Assist the Principal Investigator in drafting documents related to this project.
• Any other administrative duties as assigned by Principal Investigator.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Science, Arts and Social Science, or a related field.
• Ability to work under the instruction of the Principal Investigator in the development of Gen AI related instructional material.
• Willingness to work with students in a learning and research environment.
• Ability to assist the Principal Investigator in collecting and analyzing data arising from this study.

The National Institute of Education invites suitable applications for the position of Research Assistant on a 12-month contract at the Mathematics and Mathematics Education Department. Project Title: Gen AI in teaching undergraduate mathematics: An exploratory study Project Introduction: This project involves an exploration of Gen AI in teaching and learning of undergraduate mathematics, focusing on NIE students on the study of Calculus. Lessons will be designed with the infusion of Gen AI for both teaching and learning.
