The role of Director, Strategy & Analytics, is responsible for designing and driving enterprise-wide data intelligence, marketing content and operational efficiency initiatives across the Surety organization. This role operates as a senior individual contributor, working across underwriting, business development, and operations to enable data-driven decision-making, improve market messaging, and drive efficiency. Core Responsibilities 1. Data Mining, Insights & Decision Support - Build centralized insights capability using tools like Power BI - Analyze production trends, portfolio performance, and agency segmentation - Deliver actionable insights for decision-making 2. Marketing Content & Positioning - Develop and standardize Surety messaging, positioning, and content frameworks - Create agent/broker materials and thought leadership content - Ensure consistent messaging across field and home office 3. Operational Efficiency & Process Improvement - Identify inefficiencies and streamline workflows - Improve turnaround times and reduce manual processes - Drive adoption of automation and best practices 4. Strategic Initiative Execution - Lead cross-functional initiatives tied to business priorities - Translate leadership direction into actionable plans - Ensure measurable outcomes and execution discipline 5. Cross-Functional Influence & Alignment - Align underwriting, operations, and marketing priorities - Influence stakeholders without formal authority - Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership Role Characteristics - Enterprise-wide impact across Surety - Primarily individual contributor role - Leads projects and initiatives rather than large teams - Operates with high autonomy and influences senior leadership Key Success Indicators - Improved market-facing content consistency - Increased use of data in decision-making - Measurable operational efficiency gains - Successful execution of enterprise initiatives - Enhanced competitive positioning and ease of doing business Qualifications & Experience - 10+ years in surety, insurance, or financial services - Experience in analytics, marketing, or operations - Strong understanding of surety distribution model - Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive initiatives - Experience with data tools and process improvement The base salary offered for the successful candidate will be based on compensable factors such as job-relevant education, job-relevant experience, training, licensure, demonstrated competencies, geographic location, and other factors. The national average salary range for the position is $136,840 - $188,155 with 35% incentive. US Work Authorization US Work Authorization required.
