About the role

- Collaborate with design engineers to ensure manufacturability of new battery designs and provide feedback on design iterations.
- Ensure compliance with Lockout Tagout procedures and other safety protocols within the manufacturing environment.
- Participate in root cause analysis for manufacturing defects and implement corrective actions.
- Support the launch of new battery products, ensuring smooth transition from development to full-scale production.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in manufacturing processes to achieve world-class quality and cost objectives.
- Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field) is required.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing engineering role, preferably within the automotive or battery industry.
- Proficiency in General Motors Manufacturing System (GMS) methodologies.
- In-depth knowledge of Lockout Tagout procedures and other industrial safety standards.
- Demonstrated expertise in Process Engineering, including process development, optimization, and control.
- Understanding of GD&T and Part Print requirements
- Skilled in conducting Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA).
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in Dispense Systems is a plus
- Proficiency in Vision Systems is a plus
- Proficiency in Electric Torque Rundown Systems is a plus
