Reporting to the Director, People & Culture, your role will entail: Manage and oversee the daily operations of the People & Culture office, including employee and labour relations, performance management, benefits, health, wellness & safety, employee experience, compliance, HRIS, administration, and the performance and development of People & Culture team members. Act as a trusted partner to the Director, People & Culture and hotel leadership team, providing proactive guidance on people strategy, workforce planning, colleague engagement, leadership capability, organizational effectiveness, and change management. Support the development, coordination, and execution of the People & Culture strategy, programs, events, and initiatives, with a strong focus on colleague experience and engagement. Support labour and employee relations matters, including collective agreement interpretation, grievance preparation and resolution, workplace investigations, respectful workplace concerns, policy interpretation, and coaching leaders on fair and consistent practices. Advise, guide, and support leaders across the property with the consistent application of People & Culture policies, procedures, programs, decisions, and legislative requirements. Partner with operational leaders and the Talent Attraction team to support workforce planning, seasonal recruitment strategies, retention planning, and staffing models for a large, seasonal workforce, including 300+ new hires annually. Partner with the Learning & Development Manager to support meaningful and applicable learning programs for leaders and colleagues, including orientation, onboarding, leadership development, and other training initiatives. Be a culture carrier who lives our values of Respect, Empowerment, Excellence, Integrity, and Belonging, while setting a positive example for leaders and colleagues. Champion initiatives that foster inclusion, recognition, wellness, social connection, outdoor mountain experiences, and a vibrant colleague culture. Partner with Staff Housing and operational leaders to support housing-related colleague concerns, communication, initiatives, and strategies that contribute to retention and colleague wellbeing. Support change management initiatives connected to hotel transformation, new hotel opening activities, evolving colleague spaces, and enhancements to the colleague experience. Oversee People & Culture systems and processes, providing training, troubleshooting, reporting, and support to People & Culture and operational leaders. Review and follow up on employee discussion forms, colleague performance reviews, exit interviews, engagement survey feedback, and other colleague feedback channels to identify trends and opportunities. Coordinate the twice-annual Employee Engagement Survey and partner with department leaders throughout the year to develop meaningful action plans that drive engagement. Leverage People & Culture metrics, reporting, and colleague feedback to identify trends, provide insights, and support data-informed decision-making. Support volunteer committees and colleague programs, including Employee Recognition and Health & Safety initiatives. Plan and support hotel events, colleague activities, and People & Culture initiatives with the support of the team. Manage the People & Culture budget, including accurate monthly forecasting and annual budget development. Contribute to hotel-wide initiatives with a relentless focus on colleague engagement, service excellence, and continuous improvement. Other duties as assigned. Three years of People & Culture experience in a business partnering or management role is required. One year of experience leading, coaching, or developing a team is required. University or college degree or diploma in a related discipline is preferred. Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to use technology and data to gather insights, tell stories, and improve business outcomes. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong conflict resolution skills, with the ability to navigate sensitive situations with professionalism, sound judgment, and care.
